京の七夕in UJI 8/1(金)-8/3(日)

今年奇跡の三日間が訪れます。宇治の地において彦星と織姫が一年に一度出会う天の川を夜空に描く、壮大な天空の七夕ショーを開催！”一年に一度、願いごとをする”という古くから伝わる七夕の節句の意義や云われを見つめ直し、その伝統を引き継ぎつつ、伝統産業や和装の振興など京都ならではの現代版・七夕まつりとして、京都各地でそれぞれ特色のある「京の七夕」を開催いたします。This year, three days of miracles are coming. In Uji, a spectacular Tanabata show will be held, depicting the Milky Way, where Hikoboshi and Orihime meet once a year, in the night sky! We will reexamine the meaning and legend of the ancient Tanabata festival, which is "a time to make a wish once a year," and while inheriting that tradition, we will hold "Kyoto Tanabata," a modern Tanabata festival unique to Kyoto that promotes traditional industries and Japanese clothing.

天の川を隔てた彦星と織姫が一年に一度、7月7日の夕べに出会うという「七夕の伝説」。中国では織姫星にあやかり、裁縫や書などの上達を星に願う「乞巧奠（きっこうてん）」が行われていました。日本には奈良時代に伝わり、機を織り租霊に捧げる「棚機（たなばた）」というお盆の行事と融合したものが、日本における「七夕の起源」と言われています。The “Tanabata Legend” says that Hikoboshi and Orihime, who are separated by the Milky Way, meet once a year on the evening of July 7th. In China, “Kikkoten” was held, in which people prayed to the stars for improvement in sewing and calligraphy, based on the star Orihime. It was introduced to Japan during the Nara period, and is said to be the origin of Tanabata in Japan, which was a fusion of this with the Obon event “Tanabata,” in which weaving looms are offered to the spirits of the deceased.

Uji City is a city with many important historical events. We will be holding a Milky Way of Light event that combines the charm of Uji City, history such as Fujiwara no Michinaga and Murasaki Shikibu, with the latest fully digital systems! The lights will allow you to look back on history from 966 AD, when Fujiwara no Michinaga was born, and you will be able to feel the historical space of Fujiwara no Michinaga and Murasaki Shikibu just by walking through the town of Uji! Please enjoy “Kyoto Tanabata in Uji”, which will be the best of the 2025 Tanabata events in Kyoto!

願いごと応募 願いごと大募集！お寄せいただいた「願いごと」は9月27日（土）の清水寺でのお焚き上げによって天に届けます。 募集期間：2025年7月1日（火）〜8月31日（日） 今年の願いごと募集について 例年、旧暦の七夕にあたる8月に「願い」をテーマに開催している「京の七夕」。 「一年に一度、願いごとをする」という、七夕にちなみ「願いごと」を全国から募集します。 お寄せいただいた願いごとは、京都仏教会と京都府神社庁が合同で実施する清水寺でのお焚き上げで、天に届けていただきます。
