AXIZ Light—a lighting design and production team known for creating viral sensations at major tourist destinations across Japan, including Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto, Kobe, Nagoya, Hokkaido, and Okinawa—has been fully dedicated to fostering a vibrant night-time economy in the Kyoto-Uji area. We have created numerous high-profile attractions that drive this night-time economy, such as the illuminations at Byodo-in Temple, Gokonomiya Shrine, and the “Kyo no Tanabata in Uji” event. These projects have achieved record-breaking visitor numbers, and we remain wholeheartedly committed to the continued development of Uji City’s night-time economy.

AXIZ Light has long been dedicated to revitalizing nighttime tourism in the Uji area of Kyoto by creating atmospheric lighting displays that foster a vibrant “night-time economy” and drive an increase in evening visitors. By leveraging cutting-edge technologies—such as interactive lighting, immersive environments, and sky-sweeping searchlight effects—the company continues to produce innovative, fully digital lighting installations. In doing so, AXIZ Light supports Uji’s history and cultural assets from behind the scenes, creating a unique fusion of the historic and the futuristic.
平等院ライトアップ
-Byodoin Temple Illumination-
世界的に有名な宇治や京都を代表する圧倒的な存在感を放つ平等院。1994年に世界遺産「古都京都の文化財」に登録されました平安時代初期の美を伝える寺院の秋夜、春夜を飾る厳格で詫び錆びを極める、高貴な演出ライトアップを長年に渡り全面尽力して実施させていただいております。

御香宮神社
-Gokonomiya Shrine-
通称「ごこんさん」と親しまれている安産や名水「御香水」で知られる歴史ある神社。平安期、境内から病気に効く香水がわき出たので清和天皇からこの名を賜ったという。桃山期の特色ある建築物のうち表門や極彩色彫刻の本殿は重文。神功皇后ほかを祀り、豊臣秀吉は伏見城の守り神とした。書院の庭は、小堀遠州ゆかりの石庭。鳥羽伏見の戦いでは薩軍の屯所にもなった由緒ある神社

先進の天空演出サーチライトを用いた“織姫と彦星”の出会いを宇治川上空で開催！“京の七夕 in Ujiの短冊の願いは天空へ成就する”10ｍを超える巨大な笹に願いを！プロジェクション提灯無料サービスなど数々の話題のコンテンツを織り交ぜ過去最大規模の開催となりました。
宇治である理由
歴史上重要な史実が積み重なる宇治市。宇治市の魅力を詰め込み藤原道長公や紫式部といった歴史と最新フルデジタルシステムとの融合による光の天の川、宇治天空演出！そして藤原道長公が誕生した平安時代、その当時を彷彿とさせる歴史を回顧できるような光、宇治のまちを歩くだけでも藤原道長公や紫式部の生きた時代を感じられるような世界観を創造する、宇治市のナイトエコノミー創出向上を目指させていただきます！
Uji City is a place rich in significant historical heritage. We aim to boost the city’s “night-time economy” by creating an immersive atmosphere that blends this history—associated with figures like Fujiwara no Michinaga and Murasaki Shikibu—with cutting-edge digital technology. Highlights include a spectacular “Milky Way of Light” and sky-illuminating displays that evoke the Heian period, allowing visitors to feel the spirit of the era simply by strolling through the streets of Uji.

京の七夕 in Uji 2025′
（1）天空演出“天の川の出会い”
先進の天空演出サーチライトを用いた“織姫と彦星”の出会いを宇治川上空で開催！雲まで届く閃光が30分間に一度、約10分間宇治の天空で交わる壮大な光の天空演出！銀河に流れる天の川に光で願いを届ける一年に一度の特別な日を演出！ここ宇治でしか見られない“京の七夕”を宇治川で開催いたします！An encounter between Orihime and Hikoboshi will be held above the Uji River using advanced skylight production searchlights! A spectacular skylight production where flashes of light that reach the clouds meet in the sky over Uji for about 10 minutes once every 30 minutes! A special day once a year where wishes are sent through light to the Milky Way that flows through the galaxy! A “Kyoto Tanabata” that can only be seen here in Uji will be held at the Uji River!
（2）浮島十三重塔ライトアップ
“京の七夕 in Ujiの短冊の願いは天空へ成就する”10ｍを超える巨大な笹に願いを！旧暦7月7日にちなみ、77個の京の七夕特製竹灯り、グラスランタン、キャンドルライトが巨大な笹を彩り、浮島十三重塔と両翼を成し、府立宇治公園が主役になります！京都各所で配布される特製うちわにも“京の七夕 in Uji”イベント概要を掲載！
（3）高さ約10ｍを超える“巨大な笹”が誕生！
Kyoto Tanabata in Uji will reach the heavens” – make a wish on a giant bamboo that is over 10 meters tall! In honor of the 7th day of the 7th month of the lunar calendar, 77 Kyoto Tanabata special bamboo lanterns, glass lanterns, and candlelight will decorate the giant bamboo, forming both wings of the floating island 13-story pagoda, and the main attraction will be Uji Prefectural Park! The details of the “Kyoto Tanabata in Uji” event will also be printed on the special fans distributed at various places in Kyoto!
